Greenland Ice Sheet

All PROMICE airborne laser and radar altimetry data are publicly available. Please complete the form below, including a few sentences stating intended data use, to download these data. The data files are accompanied by readme files that provide a description of the data and suggested citation.

Airborne surveys were carried out in 2007, 2011 and 2015, approximately circumscribing the 1700 m elevation contour of the ice sheet. A map showing the flight path can be seen  here. Ice-sheet surface elevation was measured by laser altimetry and ice-sheet bedrock was measured by radar sounding. For 2015, only ice-sheet surface elevation data are available.
